I just had to fix this dang thing. After not finding a great solution with pictures on the internet to do this replacement I fixed my turntable and then took it apart to take photos. I know such a pain!
First step is to attach the belt:
Then place “the silver circle thing” back on the turntable. Make sure you can grab the belt when you place it back on. I put a quarter between the belt in and the whatever you call it so I could grab the belt.
Pull the belt so it fits around the coper thing. And with lots of general descriptions you are done!

June 25, 2014 at 3:36 amThank you, I got this turn table as my mom moved in a retirement home. The turn table wasn’t working so I came close to throw it into the recycling bin. Gave it a second chance and google it, found your post and bingo followed your explanation on how to install the belt and we have a working turn table. My youngest kid (19) saw for the first time in his life a turntable….it’s now in his room and is enjoy it……thans again.

November 6, 2015 at 4:24 pmThank you SO much. Perfect stuff – brilliantly managed to have my CD player serviced and while putting it back in place thought I’d wrecked the vinyl player. Your instructions sorted it in seconds. Phew, crisis averted (only a crisis because I’m unskilled!) Really great, thanks sir.

January 13, 2016 at 10:06 pmHi, I appreciate your post here, as I’ve been through similar with my turntable, but I do have a question–I think the belt might be loose in my (almost if not the exact same model) turntable, but am unsure as to whether I should replace it. Should the belt be extremely snug to the gear or only sort of snug? Mine is only sort of snug. I am thinking a loose belt might be the cause of a certain pitch change problem I am having during the course of playing all of my records, old and new.
Thanks for your time!
Erika

March 24, 2017 at 8:37 pmThank you, so simply after looking how you did it. I thought the belt went around the bottom section some how. So glad I didn’t waste a lot of time messing with it and looked at your site. I was wondering why they said to put a piece of ribbon around the belt to help. You used a quarter. Thanks again.
